Classes include:

  • Core Knowledge Curriculum
  • Religion
  • Music
  • Spanish
  • Technology
  • Band in 5th & 6th grades

Emphasis is placed on developing a solid mastery of reading, writing, and mathematics as a basis for building a child's skills in problem-solving, individually, or in a collaboration with others in school, or on the job.

Christian Values:

Daily religion instruction and active participation in weekday Masses strengthen the students' faith and helps develop their moral foundation.

St. Helena School continually promotes religion and values in all aspects of school to help create a safe environment and improve the quality of education. Parents are actively involved in the Christian upbringing of their children so that the religious formation in the school and in the home reinforce each other.

During weekday Masses, St. Helena School children acquire strong leadership and presentational skills by serving as lectors, commentators, altar servers, gift bearers, and choir members.

For sixty years, St. Helena School has been devoted to helping each child develop his or her full potential spiritually, intellectually, and socially. Academic excellence, solid Christian values, sound discipline, character, and diversity help give students the skills to succeed later at either private or public schools and to prepare for a productive and fulfiling life.

All are welcome to visit St. Helena School and observe the wonderful things that are taking place. Some financial aid is available for qualifying families, regardless of religion.

Educate New Mexico provides scholarships to qualifying students through a lottery.  Students may qualify for this $1,000.00 per year scholarship by applying directly to Educate New Mexico.  See their website for information about qualifying for the scholarships and submitting an application to be included in the lottery.   The names are chosen in April.  If the family is selected, their student or students may receive a scholarship for up to four years (provided they still meet the income criteria).
